My Teaching Policies

  • Lessons are offered in 30, 45 and 60 minute slots, and take place weekly. The length of your lesson is usually dependant on experience, with new beginners starting with 30 minutes, and increasing this over time as ability improves.

Lessons take place at the same time each week, and are arranged at a time which is mutually convenient for all.

  • Every first lesson is a paid 30 minute trial lesson. Following this, should you wish to continue, a regular weekly slot will be agreed upon at a mutually convenient time.

  • All students must be above the age of 5 before their first trial lesson.

  • Payment can be made on a weekly or monthly basis:

    Weekly

    • Payment must be received on the day that a lesson takes place.

    • The next lesson will not take place until all payments for all proceeding lessons have been received.

    Monthly

    • Monthly payments are made in advance

    • You will recieve an email invoice within the 7 days proceeding the start of each month. This email invoice will confirm when lessons are scheduled to take place, and the total amount due.

    • If lessons are cancelled during the course of the month, the following months’ invoice will be updated accordingly to reflect these changes.

    • Payment must be made in full before the first scheduled lesson of each month.

Payments can be made either by cash or bank transfer.

    Missed Payments

If you miss a payment, the outstanding amount must be paid as soon as possible. If payments are consistently late, or multiple payments are missed, then lessons may be suspended. Lessons can only resume once all outstanding payments have been received.

  • I operate a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. If a lesson is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, then you will be charged in full.

Lessons may be cancelled or rearranged up to 24 hours in advanced at no extra charge.

  • If you miss a lesson or do not attend, with no prior correspondence, then you will be charged in full for the slot. Although you may request to rearrange lessons in these circumstances, this will be at the teachers discretion and subject to availability.

  • If you wish to discontinue your music lessons, please note that I require at least 4 weeks notice. You can request this at any time, in writing, via email.
